Claus Schenk Graf von Stauffenberg

June 6, 2010

A Great man !

A unquestionable character of dedication !

Greatest heroes !

Stauffenberg was a German army officer  who was one of the leading officers of the July 20 plot of 1944 (Operation Valkyrie ) to kill Hitler and remove the Nazi (Fascist) Party from power in World War II Germany.

While Von Stauffenberg was a nationalistic German who thought highly of the German race, he was never a Nazi and opposed racism against non-Germans

After several unsuccessful tries by Von Stauffenberg to meet Hitler, he entered the ministry’s briefing room carrying a briefcase containing two small bombs.

Von Stauffenberg immediately began to orchestrate a military coup against the Nazi leaders.

Von Stauffenberg and fellow officers Colonel General Olbricht, Lieutenant Von Haeften and Colonel Albrecht Mertz Von Quirnheim were gunned down in the ministry’s courtyard.

Von Stauffenberg’s last words were “Long live our sacred Germany!”
